The New Generation of Sports Magazines and Popularity among General Masses

There is mushrooming of the latest sporting news magazines, and most of these magazines are associated with pictorial content to specific interest games like Hockey, Wrestling, and American Football. These general interest magazines classify the general interest topics on sports and sporting pictures of the world famous sports stars.

These sporting news magazines are taking their pace day by day, and their target market is increasing on immense level. No doubt most of their content is image based, but on the same time it’s the need of the current age to provide maximum information in fewer words. Sporting pictures are really necessary for any sporty periodical, as they give the detailed information in just one glimpse.

But on the same time some magazines do not follow the journalistic code of ethics, as most of their content is anyhow based on very bold and sometimes obscene images. Glamour should be there to add some flavor to the magazine but the whole content should not be glamorized, and news should be objective.

Sports magazines should be limited to the current happenings and events related to the sports world. Similarly, excessive commercials and advertisement may ruin the overall outlook of any sports oriented magazine.
